The Birthday Roast

I had 10 people at my birthday party and we played this game. Each person wrote down a card and presented it to me. We went around the table and read off what we wrote. We were laughing SO hard!!! It also made it fun for my party guests as everyones wit and personal humor came out with each card read. HIGHLY recommend this game as an easy way to switch it up a bit - make the birthday person feel special (and roassssted/some hit harder than others, that aside!) while helping party guests feel engaged. Won’t ever forget this birthday!

A friend brought these for my birthday dinner. It was a hilarious way to see everyone’s personalities come out. We laughed to hard and I still have the cards on my refrigerator! Highly recommend.

We had a Party Roast for my friend at our place over a glass of wine and some homemade chocolate cake. The birthday boy (man, actually, he was turning thirty) felt like the center of attention. Everyone wove their memories into their party roast cards and razzed him endearingly. What a sweet but funny way to celebrate a friend. He kept all the cards as a memento. That was a great night. I love hosting parties, and until this game I struggled to find an engaging way to create connection for groups of friends that didn't know each other. At my last bday, everyone had a blast and it was a fun, natural ice breaker and everyone was quoting lines for weeks to come. It made even our least funniest friends, hilarious!

I got this for my friend's birthday dinner, and we did this between the main course and dessert. It was a hilarious break from all the eating! Everyone was laughing their butts off. It's a super memorable way for the birthday girl to remember the group she celebrated with and the awesome bash for years to come. She's got a fun memento from each person thanks to these cool cards. The cards are top-notch, totally worth the $30. I'm definitely gonna do this for more birthdays in the future!
